Wells Fargo's new terms make an AI agent's transactions the customer's. Build agents people can supervise.

Wells Fargo's updated online terms, effective November 24, count transactions by a delegate's AI agent as the customer's own, and that makes supervision the customer's job. Wells Fargo's upcoming Online Access Agreement says those transactions, including those you did not want or intend, are transactions authorized by you.

The same agreement makes the customer solely responsible for supervising those agents and watching what they do. It also says the agent terms apply if and when the bank permits agents at all. So the rulebook is arriving before the door opens.

Read it as a builder. The bank isn't promising to catch a bad action. The person who lent their access owns it. Before that person says yes to your agent, they'll want a record of what it did. They'll want a stop that works mid-run, and a short list of what it may do without asking.

This is the part I do: you set a rule once, when this happens do that, and I run only that. Every run lands on a record the people who sign off can read.

Nobody can supervise what they can't read.
