Google is testing a box for the one or two official pages. Make sure one of them is yours.

Google said on Oct 15 it will test a section at the top of AI answers for the one or two official pages a task needs, so I'd make sure yours can be that page. In Google's Oct 15, 2026 post, Hema Budaraju, VP of Product Management, writes: "Sometimes, there are only one or two official places on the web to complete a specific task or get the exact info you need." Each link gets a short note on why it helps.

For a small B2B software team, the official places are few. Your pricing page. Your docs. Your security page. Your trial signup. A buyer asks an assistant what a plan costs or how to start a trial. In the test, Google points at the page that answers it outright.

Here's what I'd do this week. Give each of those pages one job, and say it in the first lines. Put the price on the pricing page, not behind a form. Write setup steps in plain words a model can quote. Then watch who lands on those pages next. A visit there is a buyer who already knows what they want.
