CIVIC OFFICIAL CAMPAIGN RULES

LAST UPDATED: OCTOBER 24, 2025

NO PURCHASE, TRANSACTION OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR CLAIM PROMOTIONAL ENGAGEMENT. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF SELECTION. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. THESE OFFICIAL RULES CONTAIN AN ARBITRATION AGREEMENT, WHICH WILL, WITH LIMITED EXCEPTION, REQUIRE YOU TO SUBMIT CLAIMS YOU HAVE AGAINST CIVIC TO BINDING AND FINAL ARBITRATION. UNDER THE ARBITRATION AGREEMENT, (1) YOU WILL ONLY BE PERMITTED TO PURSUE CLAIMS AGAINST CIVIC ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS, NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION OR PROCEEDING, AND (2) YOU WILL ONLY BE PERMITTED TO SEEK RELIEF (INCLUDING MONETARY, INJUNCTIVE, AND DECLARATORY RELIEF) ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS.

The “What’s your most tedious work task?” campaign (the “Campaign”) begins at 12:00 a.m. PT on October 28, 2025 and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on November 3, 2025 (the “Campaign Period”). Submissions received outside the Campaign Period will not be considered.

The Campaign is sponsored by, and promotional engagements are provided by Civic Technologies, Inc. (“Civic”, “Company”, or “We”), 548 Market St. #45306, San Francisco, CA 94104. When participating in the Campaign, eligible individuals (“Participants”) will provide information to Civic. The Campaign is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with LinkedIn or X (formerly Twitter).

Rules Summary.

By participating in the Civic “Let’s Hear Your Work Complaints!” Campaign, individuals are invited to share their professional work complaints—tedious, repetitive, or inefficient tasks they’d love to automate. Selected Participants may receive white-glove onboarding and bespoke solution toolkits (“Promotional Engagements”) designed to address their described challenges. Civic may, at its discretion, provide additional nominal incentives to encourage engagement in the Campaign. Such items will be promotional in nature, have no relationship to the selection process, and will not be awarded by chance or random draw. The Campaign is subjective and skill-based, not a sweepstakes or random draw.

Eligibility.

The Campaign is open to individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or older (or the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence) and legally permitted to participate under local law. Participation is void where prohibited. Entrants must not be residents of any country or region subject to U.S. sanctions or trade restrictions, including those administered by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and must not be identified on any restricted party list. Employees, independent contractors, officers, and directors of Civic, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and their immediate family members and persons living in the same household, are not eligible. Civic reserves the right to limit eligibility to residents of jurisdictions where such promotions may be lawfully conducted.

How to Enter.

During the Campaign Period, participants may submit a brief written or recorded “work complaint” describing a repetitive or inefficient task they wish to improve. Submissions must be made via LinkedIn or X (formerly Twitter) by responding to Civic’s campaign post and including #CivicWorkComplaints or similar hashtag. Submissions must comply with applicable laws and Civic’s Terms of Service.

Promotional Engagement.

Civic will review submissions and may select participants (“Selected Participants”) for white-glove onboarding or bespoke toolkits addressing the described problem. Civic Nexus is currently in beta and not commercially priced or offered for sale. Civic Auth and other Civic products are not included in this Campaign. Promotional engagements have no retail or cash value and cannot be exchanged, sold, or transferred.

Taxes and Valuation.

If required by law, participants are responsible for complying with any local tax reporting obligations or import/export restrictions applicable in their country of residence. The Campaign’s Promotional Engagement involves Civic Nexus, which is currently in beta and not commercially priced or offered for sale. Civic Auth and other Civic products are not included in this Campaign and are governed by their own pricing and terms.

Given that Civic Nexus access and onboarding have no established market rate, the approximate retail value (ARV) of the engagement is deemed to be zero (US$0) for U.S. and international tax purposes.

Civic will not issue tax documentation (e.g., IRS Form 1099 or local equivalents) unless future valuations exceed reporting thresholds under applicable U.S. or foreign law.

Selection of Participants.

Selected Participants will be chosen by Civic in its sole discretion, based on the following subjective criteria: (a) uniqueness or creativity of the described problem, (b) potential for impact or relevance, and (c) clarity of explanation. Civic’s decisions are final and binding in all respects. Civic may select multiple Participants as determined appropriate in Civic’s sole discretion. Selection and award of Promotional Engagements are subject to verification of eligibility.

This Campaign is an evaluation of skill and judgment, and selection is based entirely on qualitative evaluation by Civic, not by chance, drawing, or random selection.

Conditions, Limitation of Liability, and Release.

Each Participant agrees to comply with and be bound by these Official Campaign Rules and Civic Technologies Customer Services Agreement (https://www.civic.com/legal/customer-services-agreement) and the decisions of Civic which are binding and final in all matters relating to this Campaign. Civic, its agents, directors, officers, shareholders, employees, insurers, servants, parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, predecessors, successors, representatives, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors (the “Released Entities”), are not responsible for, shall not be liable for, and hereby disclaim all liability arising from or relating to: (a) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, or incomplete submissions; (b) network or internet malfunctions; (c) any technical or human errors; (d) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with the Campaign or participation therein; or (e) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Campaign.

Governing Law.

These Official Campaign Rules are governed by the laws of the State of California, without reference to rules governing choice of laws. Any action, suit, or case arising out of or in connection with this Campaign must be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California.

Arbitration Agreement; Dispute Resolution by Binding Arbitration.

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY AS IT AFFECTS YOUR RIGHTS.

Agreement to Arbitrate. This Section is referred to as the “Arbitration Agreement.” You agree that any and all disputes or claims that have arisen or may arise between you and Civic, whether arising out of or relating to these Official Campaign Rules, the Campaign, your participation, or any aspect of the relationship between us, shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration, rather than a court, in accordance with the terms of this Arbitration Agreement, except that you may assert individual claims in small claims court if your claims qualify. Further, this Arbitration Agreement does not preclude you from bringing issues to the attention of federal, state, or local agencies, and such agencies can, if the law allows, seek relief against us on your behalf. You agree that, by participating in the Campaign, you and Civic are each waiving the right to a trial by jury or to participate in a class action.
