Well to start i have a 94 eg hatchback vx with a d16z6 in it. the car started stopping when I was on the interstate doing around 65 when the motor started to bog down . This only happend one or two times then started running find again.about 15 miles down the road it just died all the way and now does not start unless I put a small amount of fuel or starter spray in the intake. i have replaced main relay, fuel pump and fuel filter and had my injector's cleaned. i unhooked my hard line to the fuel filter i just dont seem to be getting much fuel just a small amount, rehooked the hard line back up and un hooked the soft line to the fuel rail and i am not getting any fuel out of that side of my fuel filter. anyone have any idea's? i hear the pump coming on and if i spray a lil bit of starting spray in the intake it starts right up. Idk what else to do.
i had a similar issue with my 92 hatch and it turned out to be the ignition. I swap the distrib with a friends and it started up right away. So out i went got a refurb and have not had any problems. Not sure if this is the fix to your problem but just wanted to throw it out there. good luck
Replace the dizzy cap. and get new plugs as well wont hurt. You can do that yourself it is like 4 screws that hold it in just get one for like 20$ at any parts store and see if it helps.
